Blow-moulding can be compared to glass-blowing, a technique used for thousands of years to create beautiful and practical glass products. The molten glass is attached to the end of a pipe, which is then lowered into a mould. By blowing air through the pipe, the material conforms to the shape of the mould, forming a hollow body.
